Job Description

JK Bookkeeping & Advisory is seeking a Part-time Senior Bookkeeper & Payroll Expert to join our team in Denmark, Western Australia. We offer a friendly and supportive work culture with opportunities to work with a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

End to end bookkeeping for a wide range of clients within allocated portfolio

Data processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, End of Period processes, reporting, journals and reconciliations

Assisting in preparing financial client reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Processing and providing Payroll services and support to clients

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with potential conflicting deadlines

BAS and IAS preparation

Managing workflow and work completion of clients through our main workflow platform - Airtable

Develop and maintain bookkeeper manuals for all clients

System development, streamlining, and ongoing improvement

Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Equivalent - essential

Diploma in Accounting advantageous

Minimum 3-years previous experience as a bookkeeper - preferably with clients across multiple entities

High level Xero software skills - essential

Experience with MYOB software - desirable

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365

A current understanding of payroll compliance and legislation

A Payroll Certification is desirable but not essential

The ability to prepare BAS and IAS

Experience with Airtable & Pandadoc is advantageous, but not essential

Desire to learn and embrace new technologies

The ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

A mature attitude with the ability to work autonomously and be a supportive team member

Advanced time-management and organizational skills and ability to learn quickly

Possess excellent communication skills to confidently liaise with clients and other team members
