Job Description

Join AEMO as a Senior Engineer in Network Modelling and Engineering to drive power system modelling capability and contribute to the energy transition in Australia.

Responsibilities

Integrate new models and update existing ones in National Electricity Market (NEM) base cases
Perform simulations to assess model quality
Develop and tune seasonal snapshots and power system models
Prepare high-quality written and verbal communications
Assess future requirements for power system modelling
Undertake simulation and analysis of electricity transmission networks

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
Experience in electricity transmission network analysis
Knowledge of power system dynamics and stability concepts
Proficiency in simulation applications such as PSCAD, PSS/E, PowerFactory, etc.
Strong communication and negotiation skills
