The Receptionist is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. The duties include answering and transferring phone calls to employees, assisting customers pre-sale, during the auction and post sales auctions. The Receptionist will provide a wide variety of support to the customers.
Operate a high-volume telephone switchboard receiving customer enquiries and assist customers with their ability to use all of Ritchie Bros services
Ability to explain how bidding and unreserved auctions work
Support customers during the auction registration process for online bidding
Resolve issues and track interactions relating to customer accounts
Provide information related to past and upcoming auctions and equipment
Assist with post sale accounts receivable phone calls and payment processing
Ensure that superior customer service is always delivered to all customers
Provide additional administrative support as needed
Previous work experience where you worked in-person with customers
Experience using computers, and able to learn to use new technology and software
A commitment to providing fantastic customer service
Able to work well and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
A friendly, outgoing, patient personality
