Job Description

Austal is seeking a System Safety Engineer to implement safety engineering methodologies within the Land8710-1A Landing Craft Medium project and broader business.

Responsibilities

Conduct the System Safety Program
Lead System Safety Working Groups
Facilitate Hazard Analysis workshops and develop Hazard Log
Prepare Safety Case Report
Support other disciplines as required

Qualifications

Construction safety induction (white card)
Tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering or related discipline
Experience with MIL-STD-882E or similar
Experience in defence acquisition and/or sustainment
Experience within a classification society or Defence Seaworthiness
Experience working closely with a design team
