Job Description

Join Churches of Christ as a Youth Support Worker - Intensive Foster Care in Bundaberg, helping young people in care feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care and emotional support to young people in foster placements
Help young people build skills and confidence through routines and activities
Communicate effectively and respectfully with young people, carers, and team
Transport children safely and responsibly as needed
Maintain accurate, legally sound records and reports

Qualifications

Minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or related field
1+ year of experience in child protection or community services
Culturally aware and inclusive, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Hold a current Blue Card, Police Check, and LCS screening - or the ability to obtain
