Job Description

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Water Services Operator to join the infrastructure team based at Solomon Mine on an 8/6 roster.

Responsibilities

Ensure water quality compliance with ADWG regulations
Regulate water flow through stages of treatment of Reverse Osmosis plant
Treat water using proper methods, monitor plant HMI and water quality, correct any problems promptly
Execute water treatment processes while complying with safety requirements
Use appropriate chemicals for water and wastewater treatment; perform routine maintenance on treatment equipment and report faults
Take samples, monitor water quality, keep accurate records of all treatments and readings taken to adhere with ADWG

Qualifications

Proven experience operating Water and Wastewater treatment plants
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant experience
Experience with SCADA and ability to analyze trends
Knowledge of water treatment processes, chemicals, filtration, and water chemistry
Sound knowledge of ADWG
