The Cyber Security Operations Officer is responsible for identifying, investigating, and responding to cyber security incidents, maintaining cyber hygiene of council systems, and providing staff awareness training.
Identify, assess, and respond to cyber security threats. Monitor and investigate alerts. Manage vulnerabilities within the network. Support auditing of council systems. Develop and implement cyber security controls. Conduct security awareness training programs.
Extensive IT security experience. Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security or equivalent work experience. Information security certification desirable. Excellent communication skills. Experience with ISO 27001 and ACSC Essential 8 frameworks.
