Bugcrowd is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to help improve the security posture of the organization. This role involves working closely with the cybersecurity team and other departments to enhance security controls and processes.
Security Architecture and Application Security - Collaborating with developers to enhance security controls and create internal tools for security purposes.
Tool Creation - Developing tools in Python and Golang for internal use in securing the company.
Operations / Incident Response - Assisting with incident response activities and security operations as needed.
Risk Management - Evaluating security risks and monitoring key metrics.
Pentesting - Conducting security assessments of Bugcrowd assets and vendors.
Quality Improvement - Contributing to the enhancement of cybersecurity policies and standards.
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with application security testing, OWASP Top 10, and common security vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of Incident Response, threat intelligence, and operating systems.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Golang.
Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and understanding of IAM.
Ability to proactively find solutions and work independently.
Experience with red teaming, git, and issue tracking systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
