Job Description

Join a Council in Sydney's west as an HR Business Partner providing expert HR advice and support to Council leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive recruitment strategies aligned with the People Strategy.
  • Provide analytics and guidance for workforce planning.
  • Support People Business Partners and leaders on HR processes.
  • Collaborate with recruiting officers for end-to-end recruitment services.
  • Research, develop, and implement HR projects and initiatives.
  • Coach managers and leaders on performance excellence and change management.
  • Review, develop, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor HR metrics and generate reports using HRIS.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Local government experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, performance management, and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience in employee relations and handling workplace change.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide practical HR solutions.
  • Proactive with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
