Job Description

The Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO) contributes to the success of Liberty Primary Steel (LPS) through the delivery of a fit for purpose Emergency Response (Fire, Rescue, Medical Response and Asset Protection) capability in line with operational requirements and risk environment at the Whyalla Steelworks and associates SIMEC Mining functions.

Responsibilities

Respond to medical related calls for assistance and provide first responder medical support
Undertake training, compliance, and reporting activity for emergency responses
Support the development and review of emergency response plans
Maintain operational readiness of personnel, fleet, and equipment

Qualifications

Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Medium/Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence
Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or equivalent
Various first aid and emergency response certifications
