Job Description

The Medical Emergency Services Officer contributes to the success of Liberty Primary Steel through the delivery of a fit for purpose Emergency Response capability in line with operational requirements and risk environment at the Whyalla Steelworks and associates SIMEC Mining functions.

Responsibilities

Respond to medical related calls for assistance and provide first responder medical support
Undertake training, compliance and reporting activity relating to emergency responses
Support the development and review of emergency response and rescue plans
Maintain operational readiness of personnel, fleet, and equipment
Undertake Emergency Response Team activity in accordance with best practice

Qualifications

Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Medium/Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence
Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or equivalent
Various First Aid certifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
