Job Description

SIMEC Mining Whyalla Operations is seeking a Superintendent Mining to manage mining operations, collaborate with various teams, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) culture
Coach and mentor mining teams
Establish short term operational work plans
Develop operational objectives and key performance indicators
Assist in budget development and monitoring
Ensure effectiveness of leaders at all levels

Qualifications

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in mining engineering, metallurgy, geology
Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environment regulations
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing mining operations
Experience with contract & contractor management
Qualifications & experience to allow appointment as Mine Manager/Quarry Manager
