Job Description

Join our 2025 talent pool for Darwin Tug Crew positions. Exciting opportunities in harbour towage, terminal towage, and naval operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vessels, firefighting, and environmental protection equipment are in top condition.
  • Assist with handling, securing, and releasing of lines and ropes during vessel operations.
  • Operate winches and other machinery during operations.
  • Take command of the tug and manage the crew to ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Contribute to operational improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum General Purpose Hand Certificate of Competency (Deckhands).
  • Engineer Class 3 Certificate of Competency (Engineers) or Master <45m Near Coastal Certificate of Competency (Masters).
  • Statements of Attainment in Provide First Aid and CPR.
  • Maritime experience required.
  • Strong team player with great communication skills.
  • Comfortable with technology and basic computer skills.
