Job Description

Join The Salvation Army as a Youth Worker to support young people experiencing homelessness through safe accommodation and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

Support the daily operations of a 24-hour youth crisis accommodation service
Build rapport and identify immediate needs of young people
Teach essential life skills and promote community engagement
Connect young people with internal and external services

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work or related field
Experience in youth work or within a Specialist Homelessness Service
ACT Employee Working with Vulnerable People Certification
Current ACT Driver License
Current Senior First Aid Certification
